BCC-Guardian Cables

The ‘GUARDIAN’ range of products have been specifically designed for applications in which cables are required to be concealed within building partitions or voids, at a depth less than 50mm. It provides reduced electromagnetic interference making it ideal when EMC is a consideration.

The construction lends itself to installation in walls, partitions and building voids where there may be risk of damage or penetration from nails or other fixings. This meets the requirements of the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 (incorporating Amendment 3) 2015 for concealed cables at a depth of less than 50mm, Regulation 522.6.201 to 522.6.204.

The ‘GUARDIAN’ range is manufactured with low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) compounds which are suited to public areas where reduction in the volume of smoke and acid gas evolution is essential. The ‘GUARDIAN’ range lends itself to environments where there is a risk to both life and critical equipment in a fire situation.

The BCC ‘GUARDIAN’ range is manufactured in accordance with British and International standards and hold BASEC third party certification.
